Cassie asked:
Who is your personal hero? My mom. She raised me and my brother almost entirely on her own and it wasn't until I became an adult that I realized how hard that must have been. She managed to do it while building an enormously successful career and she's married to an amazing man who is the best step-father ever. She's overcome so much and is an amazing role model.
If you could have lunch with anyone (celeb or not) who would it be? Hm, I honestly don't know. Barack Obama? I sure do have some questions for him...
Red or white wine? i am red I actually don't drink much... I'm not a teetotaler, I just never acquired much of a taste for alcohol. It's a running joke with my friends try to find something I'll like.

Chocolate or vanilla cake? i am vanilla Vanilla! Chocolate tastes like poo. I'm the girl who prefers a bowl of mixed berries instead of a cake though (I get oranges in my stocking every Christmas and LOVE them!).
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In a mirror! HAHAHAHA. I'm high-larious. :) Seriously, I imagine I'll probably have a couple kiddos by then (the two legged, non-furry, tax deductible kind) and a thriving career. Now I have to go knock on wood so I don't jinx my future.
Kyria asked:
I don't have a question right now, but I am requesting some more blog design tutorials. I love your "new" look! Where did you get that font?
Hm... I'll try to think of more, but I'm not sure what to write really! The font is called "pupcat," you can use it for free through picasa (the web version). And thank you! I worked hard on it!
Cason asked:
Most sentimental possession? My stuffed tiger. My grandmother gave him to me as a kid and I love him. His tail has been ripped off (and sewn back on), I "trimmed" his whiskers, and his nose fell off, but I'm going to keep him forever.
Major in college? Political Science. The prof for the seminar classes was so good looking...
Which item on your list do you think you are least likely to achieve? Proudest of achieving? There are few things on my list I'm not interested in doing anymore, so I think I'm going to cross those off. Of the things I'd still like to do, I think it's least likely that I'm going to host a holiday meal. I'd love to do it, but the house has to look good first and that's just happening really slowly. I'm proudest of paying off both cars.
Thoughts on cats? I like cats!! My first pet was a cat and he was the best. If Melanie wouldn't eat a cat we'd probably have a cat now.
waldobungie asked:
1. What blog do you always get excited about when you see they have a new post? Of course I always like the posts from all of my blog friends, but I'm always eager to read PostSecret every Sunday.
2. If you could live anywhere else in the U.S., where would it be? North Carolina. T and I almost moved there when I graduated college and it just never happened. For some reason it seems like the most pleasant place to live though.
3. What is your favorite house project? My favorite house project (once it's completed) is the floors. My favorite furniture project is still the first piece that I did. The one that was the most fun to do was the sunburst mirror.
4. As a former ballroom dancer, do you have a favorite dance reality show? So You Think You Can Dance. I DVR every episode (although I am hyper critical of the ballroom routines). I can't stand Dancing with the Stars. It makes me want to scream.
Amanda - Hip House Girl asked:
What's your day job? I would tell you, but I would have to kill you.
When do you blog? I blog in the evenings and on the weekends. I like when I get my posts done on the weekends so during the week I can just read and comment, but that rarely happens.
What's your favorite thing about Mr. T? His butt! He has a great one... and I guess he has a good personality too... but mostly it's his butt.
And you like SYTYCD?!?! I like you even more!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis was a great idea to get to know you a little better. Well done!
I LOVE SYTYCD! Melanie is totally going to win this year...
ReplyDeleteyour mom definitely sounds like a hero. and i am vanilla, too. :)
ReplyDeleteSo fun to read these! Although I can't believe you dodged my question! Haha. I really am super impressed at your new blog layout. That's something I've been meaning to tackle for a long (long) time but I just keep hitting hurdles I can't seem to get over.
ReplyDeleteAmanda - I didn't dodge your question, I saved your life! ;)
