Now on to this awarding business, I have to give a big THANK YOU for the award. I'm totally flattered because I love both of their blogs. In accepting this award I'm supposed to share seven random things about myself so here goes:
1. I don't like chocolate. Are you unsubscribing right this very second? It's true. I hate the stuff. I'm not allergic, I just don't like it. I think I've been quoted as saying "it tastes like poo." You should actually like me more because of this though because it just means there more chocolate in the world for the rest of you. You're welcome.

2. I can pick things up with my toes. It's a very handy skill. Especially when you're lazy like me. You use a lot fewer toe muscles to pick something up than you do bending over and picking it up with your hand.
3. I graduated college in three years. Ironically, it was because of a boy. I was dating Mr. T back then and didn't want to go home during the summers so I could stay with him. If I had it to do over again, I would try to stay in college FOREVER. Fifteen hours of "work" each week and then I can do whatever I want? Yes please! The truly intelligent among us stay in college for 6+ years.
4. I am a messy person. Whenever I take pictures of the house I spend anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes tidying up so I have good looking pictures for the blog. The fact that I randomly clean parts of the house like that is one reason Mr. T likes that I blog.
5. I used to be a super serious ballroom dancer. Ta-da!

6. I listen to Britney Spears and have bought each of her albums the week they were released. I do have the decency though to be a little embarrassed by it. I know it's not "good" music, but it's fun and that's all I need sometimes.
7. I have five siblings, at least one of each "kind" that you can have. One "regular" (same mom and dad) brother that I grew up with, one half brother, one adopted sister, and two-step brothers. I'm part of the new age of American families :)
And now I'm supposed to pass it on to 11 other bloggers. In no particular order here are 11 other super duper great blogs:
My Life With Dogs
Jane of All Crafts
Two Pitties In The City
Hernando House
Holyoke Home
KT's Refinishing School
Love and a Six Foot Leash
Russet Street Reno
Little House on the Corner
Acting Adult
What's something random about you?
first of all, thank you so much for passing on to me!!!!
ReplyDeletesecondly, i really enjoyed reading this and love the ballroom dancing pics- fancy! i love your family dynamics, too- awesome!
and i wish i didn't like chocolate.
oh, and i just move the mess out of the way for blog photos! then the mess moves with me as i take pics from different views of a room! :)
Hahaha love the post title!!! I read (and love) your blog anyway, but if I didn't that would have drawn me in! Congrats on the award - you deserve it!

In all fairness, if I'd grown up on the rubbish that passes for "chocolate" in the US I probably wouldn't like it either. Hersheys DOES taste like poo! However I couldn't live without all the good stuff.
ReplyDeleteBritney Spears is nothing to be ashamed of! I've been curating concerts (mostly classical music) for thousands of Chicagoans for years now so I say it with authority - yay Britney!

I can do number 2 and did number 3. The ballroom dancing is cool! My workout iPod list is all brittney, black eyed peas and lady gaga

ReplyDeleteCassie - The ballroom pics are fancy! When I found the photos I was like "whoa that's a whole lotta rhinestones!" I used to love those dresses.
ReplyDeleteConspicuous Design - haha, thanks! I'm always worried if I jump around too much with the topics I post about, so I thought it was funny to get an award for having such a short attention span ;)
In Black and White - Since you are the authority and have given it your seal of approval, I will now proudly proclaim my love for Britney music!
Kari - Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga figure prominently on my iPod too. All I need is a good beat and catchy lyrics and I'm set!
loveandaleash - Yay! I can't wait to see what you write!
Yay for the award!!! Also, I totally geeked over the ballroom dancing photos!!!
ReplyDeleteBALLROOM DANCING?! So cool! See, you're versatile ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for passing this on to me!!
ReplyDeleteI love chocolate but not all chocolate, because sometimes it does taste yucky, not quite poo but close ;-)
I freakin' love that you were a ballroom dancer, way cool!!
And my husband teases me about my ability to use my toes to grab things. But I think it's a useful talent!
My Abba gold album beats your britney spears :-)
You were a ballroom dancer? That's so awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for passing this award on to me. I was awarded it last year as well and created this post about it:

Thanks for the award! I don't really like chocolate either, especially chocolate bars--glad to hear I'm not the only one :) My family thinks I'm weird because I don't like smores!
ReplyDeleteKT - ever make a smore and just leave the chocolate off? Still delicious!
