After writing about what to do with our tax refund this year, I was 100% ready to sink the money into the house. The house has been empty for too long and I'm just over not having a home that I feel good about! I felt really really good about my stance.
... then I downloaded the Dave Ramsey podcast.
Now, there are a lot of things I don't agree with Dave Ramsey about. But, I do embrace the "pay off your debt as fast you can" concept and after listening to people scream "We're Debt FREEE!" I had to get in on the action a little bit. So in the end I succumbed to Dave Ramsey (and my smarter-than-me husband) and we paid off our second car.
To immortalize this momentous occasion, I recorded the moment that I actually paid off the debt.
Important Notes: This is not an exciting video, but you do get a glimpse of Heidi at the very beginning. I am a total goober and not comfortable or "natural" in front of a camera. I also did this when I got home from work, so that's my "end of the day after a long commute home" hair.
I actually hit "submit" at the 1:40 mark, so jump there if you want to see my mini-celebration.
I'm pretty freaking happy to have that debt gone. The car loan represents the last of our "gotta pay it off quickly debt" and now we'll have some extra money each month to play with.
Yay for more money forshoes tools and curtains!!!

I linked here today, and then came back and read the post. I didn't remember that Dave inspired you to do this too! I don't agree with every single thing he says either, but I do think he can be super inspiring. What a happy day! Debt freeeeeeeeee!!!
