I've been super busy lately and, unfortunately, it's not translating into many blog posts. (sorry guys!)
I've been getting more involved with the rescue group I volunteer with. It started out innocently enough. First we fostered cute little Winky, and then we started going to regular adoption events each month. The events are easy and fun. I go and get to hang with cool dogs like this guy (he's one of my favs!).
A few people started to recognize Mr. T and I as "regulars" so someone asked T if we would like to take charge of an upcoming event.
T said, "Sure! Email Kate with the info!"
Which of course, since I'm a type A control-freak, means I'm doing everything.
Even though it's a fair amount of work (and I'm nervous about doing it all - I don't want to screw up my first one!) I'm really enjoying being more involved. I've felt for awhile now that we weren't doing "enough" since we can't foster right now, but doing this has changed that. It feels good to work towards something that means so much to me.
So, once this event is over, I'm marking it as "done" on my 101 list.
Helping outhas never felt so good has never been so cute.

Helping out

p.s. Since I have been so busy my google reader has hit 1000+ unread posts again. I promise to get back out there and comment on blogs again soon!
p.p.s. Target says my end tables/nightstands should be delivered today! I hope I have a really big package waiting for me when I get home - that would make me really happy!!

Woo hoo congrats! We are in the middle of house hunting so I am really glad I scheduled posts a couple weeks ago or I might not be posting at all!

Super sweet...Someone will eat him up right away!
ReplyDeleteThat face makes me melt! Somebody has got to come for him
ReplyDeleteThat pooch reminds me a bit of Mr. B! This is a good reminder to us to become more directly involved as well. I'm taking 2 separate grad programs, one was 5 hours on Saturday morning, but has just ended, so it may be a good time soon...
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool, Kate! I hope all the cute little doggies find great homes :)
