Despite it's initial kamikaze tendencies, my little plant is still alive! I only had to keep it going until December 22, but with all the hubbub around our trip I forgot to check in about it. And since it's still alive and kicking today, I've actually exceeded my goal. I rule.

To commemorate my triumph, I upgraded Planty McPlanterson's abode a bit and invested in this nice pot. No more Chinese take-out food container for this little survivor.

Planty even managed to stay alive while we were out of town, even though it didn't get watered once. I failed to mention that it may need watering to the person who was house/dog sitting for us. That's probably a good example of why none of my other plants have ever survived this long.
I'm really enjoying having a bit of greenery inside the house, I may have to add another plant to mix eventually. Someday.
Until then, I rest easy knowing Planty is doing just fine.

Yeah! I think plants and greenery make such a difference indoors. I'm still trying to figure out how to make our balcony flowers flourish during the summer. I keep seeing everyone with these amazing, lush flowers while ours are a bit sparse.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you could keep it alive! I can't seem to do that for some reason.
ReplyDeleteGood work! (Er...non-work? :)
ReplyDeleteWise decision to wait to invest in a real pot until you knew it was going to survive. I've made that mistake in the past!
My garden is burnt to a crisp. Next year I shall try again
