Seeing Red

Two weeks ago I showed you this desk that I found on craigslist for $75.

I actually liked that it was red, but upon closer inspection I saw that it was streaked with dark paint that made it look dirty and the handles didn't fit properly.

This was actually the smallest hole I had to fill in, eek!

I was considering what color to paint it, when I realized that a red desk would actually be perfect, it was just that this red wasn't really for me. So I bought some supplies.

You can see the dark paint on the top here too!

And got everything primed.

The lawn mower may have gotten a tad primed too ...

Then finally painted and Wally! I had a new to me desk for about $100.

Wally is a distant cousin of "Walla", the third cousin of "Voila!"

I'm so spray paint happy I even managed to get most of the underside!

No more gaping holes around the handles!

So you can see them close together. Before:

And After:

T isn't sure that it will make enough of a statement, but I think it'll do ;)

p.s. As usual I'll be linking up this makeover to a bunch of great parties. Make sure you check out the buttons in my sidebar to see all the amazing projects!
