I was taking a look at my 101 goals list this week and I realized that I'm behind. Way behind.
As of this writing, I have 72 goals on my list (I haven't even finished my list! I have to think of 29 more goals ...) and I've only completed 22 of them. That means I have 79 goals left to complete and 84 weeks left to complete them. For all intents and purposes, I need to complete one goal each week if I'm going to make it.
Several goals are long term, and I don't anticipate meeting them anytime soon. They just take time and other than being diligent about working towards them, there's not much I can do to speed things up. These include:
hitting my goal weight
saving a 9 month emergency fund
reading 100 books
logging 1001 miles
Then there are others that I've been working on too slowly. Way way too slowly. So slowly that I have no excuses whatsoever and I need to get with it already. They include:
building a piece of furniture
decorating the master bedroom
finishing my "super secret project" (didn't know about that one did ya?)
For the most part the rest of my goals are things I just need to do already. And I haven't. They aren't especially difficult, I've just become complacent about completing them. The point is, I need to get on it. Expect to see more posts with the "Done" tag on them in the future ...
And since I still need to add more goals to my list - is there anything you think I should do? Anything you'd like to see me try out? I'm all ears for suggestions. Anyone else out there often fall behind on their "To Do" lists?
Oh, and if you haven't already please take a second to vote in the poll in my sidebar about a possible Daily Dog Photo Feature on the blog. It looks like the dog people have already made their push, does everyone else agree? I really want to know what you want to see everyday! I know a lot of you subscribe in a reader so please come on over and check it out!

I think it has been impressive thus far. You don't realize how much effort it takes me to even go to the mailbox to mail a letter, so I really do enjoy seeing what you've done. It's inspired me to make a list!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I can't even begin to imagine how far behind I am on my 101 list. It would scare me to look. But I better do so to get back on track!
ReplyDeleteMy list has 99 things and I have 21 of them done but I also have 110 weeks to go... I have knocked off my easy ones but those slow ones are going ot be the death of me
