Winky has found her forever home!!
This weekend Winky went to her forever home and I couldn't be more thrilled for her. Her new home is with a great person who already loves her to pieces. She even has a new big sister, a pit bull mix named Spice. They were instant BFFs, playing and rough housing all over Winky's new home.
While it was certainly a little bitter-sweet for me (I do love that little one eyed dog) and I shed a few tears, I'm so so happy for her. She was a great first foster dog and I honestly learned a lot from the experience. It wasn't without lots of hard work, but the reward is awesome.
Congratulations Winky!
To commemorate her time with us, I put together this little video together. There is audio (and the song is great!). I hope you enjoy.

That is awesome =)
ReplyDeleteAww so glad she found a good home.
ReplyDeleteAlso I tried to watch the video but it says it's private.
Whoops - I think I fixed the video now :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that was fast! My Misty was with me for 7 months! I'm so glad you were able to do such a nice thing for an animal- it truly takes a special type of person.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! That was quick! Any new fosters in your future?
ReplyDeleteCongrats, you're such a great foster mama!
ReplyDeleteNo new fosters for now. Having a puppy around wasn't easy on Molly. She was okay for one, but I don't think it'd be fair for her if we did it again. Maybe eventually though! And I'm definitely going to stay involved in rescue in other ways :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you both! I know those emotions all too well after we gave Taz the Kitten to a new family who loves her very much. (She was a totally unintended foster.) :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you share this with the new mama. I put together a bunch of pix from the 4 months we had Taz (from the time she was itty bitty) and sent those along with her. Her new mama liked 'em!
Awww she is just too cute!
