Reading: The Girl Who Played With Fire

The Girl Who Played with Fire (Vintage)
The Girl Who Played with Fire is the sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Yes, I literally picked up this book after finishing the first one, I'm nerdilicious. And I have to say that this book was so much better than the first.

The first one was fine, but I didn't find it worthy of the hype that this trilogy has received. The second book however, pretty darn hype worthy. And now I seriously hope the planned movie for Dragon Tattoo is highly successful, just so they'll make the second movie with this book. Remember when I complained that The Lovely Bones wasn't the hard hitting, punch 'em out mystery I thought it would be? Well this book was.

Lots of intrigue, a great protagonist and strong female lead, and a HUGE cliffhanger. Ohmygod the cliffhanger makes me want to go out and buy the third book right this second. And I never buy books unless it's for $1.50 at the thrift store. Alas, my library request might take a little while...

I hate waiting ...

  2. I just finished this book last night! I stayed up late to finish and I was left with, well... you know! I, thankfully, have the third book ready to go so I plan on diving in today :)

Agreed on that this book was much better. I still liked the first one, even if it took me ~100 pages to get into it. This one was definitely harder for me to put down.
