The first one was fine, but I didn't find it worthy of the hype that this trilogy has received. The second book however, pretty darn hype worthy. And now I seriously hope the planned movie for Dragon Tattoo is highly successful, just so they'll make the second movie with this book. Remember when I complained that The Lovely Bones wasn't the hard hitting, punch 'em out mystery I thought it would be? Well this book was.
Lots of intrigue, a great protagonist and strong female lead, and a HUGE cliffhanger. Ohmygod the cliffhanger makes me want to go out and buy the third book right this second. And I never buy books unless it's for $1.50 at the thrift store. Alas, my library request might take a little while...

I hate waiting ...

oooo I hate when my requests are like that at the library!
ReplyDeleteI just finished this book last night! I stayed up late to finish and I was left with, well... you know! I, thankfully, have the third book ready to go so I plan on diving in today :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed on that this book was much better. I still liked the first one, even if it took me ~100 pages to get into it. This one was definitely harder for me to put down.
