I'm a sucker for dogs and books about dogs (Marley & Me anyone?) so it should come as no surprise that I picked up The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. The book is told from the point of view of the Swift family's dog, Enzo, as they go through a series of life changing events.
In short: I laughed. I cried. I loved it. It's heartfelt, funny, and, best of all, told through the eyes of a family pet who is far more intelligent than anyone gives him credit for. What more can you ask for? Pick it up, you won't regret it.
